Sometimes taking advantage of a good deal requires a little forward thinking. Such is the case for a featured, local Groupon deal today. Chicago Premium Boat Rental and Leasing, which is located in Channahon, is offering a more than 60 percent discount on its guided boat rental. There are two options, a two-hour tour and a four-hour tour.

Owner Rick Todd said the tour is an instructional one. The company takes groups out with the hopes of getting them active in the water.

"What we try to do is get people out wake boarding and waterskiing," he said.

The four-hour tour offers particpants a chance to stop at a sandbar in the Kankakee River.

The boat, which is located at Big Basin Marina, does not go into the water until May 15 and remains in the water until Oct. 15.

The Groupon deal expires Sunday.
