Channahon Wish List Includes New Squad Cars
Director of Finance Bob Guess outlined a plan that would enable to the Village of Channahon to move forward with purchases without dipping into its reserve fund.
Three new squad cars. Replacement of all police in-car computers. And the purchase of a new administration/development vehicle.
All of these items are on the budget recently presented to Village of Channahon trustees for feedback.
Director of Finance Bob Guess outlined a plan that will enable the village to operate without dipping into its reserves, according to a Sun-Times News Group report. He will present the second half of his plan at the March 18 board meeting.

With the tax base dwindling in Channahon, you would think that the spending would slow down, Do we need 17 patrolmen in a town this size. Do we need new equipment that works perfectly and is repairable? Government when unchecked will grow and eat tax money like a hungry cow.
