Escape Down Memory Lane

Bring back Bean Encounters.

As I talk to Channahon and Minooka residents in my day-to-day excursions for the Patch, I often find myself in search of a nice cup of coffee, a reasonably healthy snack and/or a place with wi-fi to gather my thoughts. It is at these times that I remember with great fondness the Bean Encounters Coffee Shop.
This quaint little café had a meeting room where the area Rotarians would meet. It also was the venue for several of the local Arts Councils Networking events.
Their menu included sandwiches, pastries, ice cream, a nice selection of caffeinated beverages and even wine.
There was a fireplace in the winter and a patio for the spring and summer months and the atmosphere was simply delightful.
Bean Encounters used to be located at 859 S Ridge Rd., in Minooka.
Now the building stands empty. I am curious as are many of the residents I talk to on a daily basis, what are the plans for this building?
Is anything going to be done with this incredible space and most importantly will it include coffee and wi-fi?
