If last Wednesday’s presidential debate left you with more questions than answers, here’s your chance for the presidential candidates to address the issues that most matter to you.
The next presidential debate will be a town hall meeting format at Hofstra University in Long Island, where voters will ask President Obama and Mitt Romney about domestic and foreign policy.
Patch is asking you, our readers, to participate by submitting questions for the candidates.
All you have to do is post your question in the comments section below and we’ll send it to the Commission on Presidential Debates. The Commission is partnering with Patch's parent company Aol, along with Google and Yahoo, to take questions from web users across the country.
Don’t wait until Nov. 6 to have a say in this year’s election. Share your thoughts in the comments!!!

Ask them if they would be willing to get hooked up to a lie detector during the next debate. I doubt either one of them would do that.

People that are habitual liars, usually pass a lie detector,,
But it may be fun to watch them sweat !!!

In addition to a lie detector test I would like to hear ALL politicians say " If I do not do what I say, then I will not run again".

Since it seems every American has been personally effected by government overspending, would with consider putting the Senate on the same retirement plan that the rest of us have ( social security ) or are they " above" the rest of us and need to continue with the golden fleece retirement plan that is only taking away from the average American , And how about cutting back to o e Senator to each state, maybe fewer would be able to get along better !

What will it take for Congress / The President to become fiscally responsible? The debt ceiling continues to be raised without any concern for the USA's financial situation. The USA is now at more than $15 Trillion in debt.

The presidents questions are chosen for him.all of his questions are monitored, sorted through and he ignore the questions that matter.Just like the debate...If its not about big bird then there are no questions for the president...He created a site for questions and for people to vote on subjects on whitehouse.gov....then he ignored, skipped over the very top questions that were asked and voted on by his very own citizens....so unless your asking a question that the president favors you might as well give it up.

Mr. Romney, why are we supposed to believe that your tax numbers for the last 12 years are honest (while you refuse to go public like your father did), while you won't believe a government report on the lower unemployment numbers?

On a much simpler basis, why has President Obama refused to make public his college records? They are not near as invasive as a tax return.

Obama and the rest of the democrats are calling for Romney's tax records, and received two (2) years, but what about Obama's college records that are sealed, and what about the ORIGINAL birth certificate, along with all the other records from Obama that are sealed from public view ? What is his cover up ?

AAll well to do people have deversivied investment portfolios - such as Pelosi, the Chairman of the Democratic Party, the Kennedy's and many other well to do Democrats as well as many Republicans. The law allows these investments. If you do not like them try to find ONE politition who would vote to make them illegal.

Mr. Romney, are you or are you not going to take away the tax credit for mortgage interest and property tax?
Just received my assessment and while it went down the rate is up. Can't sell my home now because of the taxes. If the deductions are taken away we will see the market hurt further, and that's according to my Realtor.
As far as income tax it's time for a flat tax across the board, everyone pays the same.

Do you realize thet Obamacare has added a tax of 3.8% to homes sold after 2013? That is almost as much as the commision you pay the realtor.

i watched some of the debate on tv and have strong opinions on both sides.
I prefer private ins and it was my career focus but respect the obamacare effort.
I prefer our troops get out vs stay in and it is peace time.
My questions is the politics of terror on both sides or the war.
qintanamo bay we paid foreingers millions for mistreatments
Our troops are mistreated worse if not the same and you don't hear about it cuz they are still over ther.and have not have any size able reimbursment comparable to guantanamo bay. Afphgan owes US.troops
I still like to see a mystery candidate added to the ballot who a female please stand up?

Mr. Romney, you say you have a plan to eliminate the debt, add jobs, provide spending for military and not raise taxes among other things. Please elaborate by telling the American people just what is your plan? I'm sure we would love to here it.

Since the political parties were instituted to create division and blame, and our current election process is based on who has the most money, do you have a thought on how to turn away from political parties and permanent division, and create an election process that is only publicly funded?

Logansdad, not sure how old you are. In my younger days dogs liked to ride in the back of pickup trucks and often stood with front feet on the sides of the truck bed to get more of the wind. So I think his dog rpobably enjoyed the ride.
As kids our families had two door pick ups with the gear shift on the floor - which meant two in the front was comforrtable, three was croweded. So for a family with two or more kids we were able to ride in the truck bed. We thought it was great fun. Today it would be illegal and probably some would call it "child abuse".

My question for the debate:
Governor Romney: President Obama's "We Can't Wait" initiative and his signing of many Executive Orders seem to be a way to justify bypassing Congress. This method decreases bipartisanship, creates divisions between Democrats and Republicans and lessens the authority of the Legislative Branch as set in the Constitution.
Please discuss your strategies for increasing bipartisanship. Please outline how your administration would work with Congress, not against it, or by ignoring it. How would you create a positive framework for both parties to work together towards fixing our economy, decreasing the deficit and our debt, create jobs and get America working again?
Thank you.

No rational, sane person will vote for President Obama. People who are tied to the Democratic Party by virtue of family history will vote for him "because Mom and Dad were Democrats". Look around. Things are not good. People are out of work. Companies are afraid to hire. Our economy is hurting bigtime. The change promised didn't come. Let the Democrats keep their 'change' and give us Romney. At least we will have a chance for change.

Governor Romney and President Obama:
The Great depression began in the 1920's and became full blown on October 29th 1929 ( Black Tuesday) with the collapse of the stock market and the failures of numerous banks. It lasted for almost 15 years and ended after World War 2. During that time, numerous work programs were enacted as well as banking and investment regulations.
Under the Clinton Administration, investment and banking regulations were rescinded, allowing investment firms and banks to merge and freely speculate on stocks and commodities, a situation that was identical to the 1920' and culminated in the financial crisis of 2008. It appears to be a case where history repeated itself.
The current economy is nowhere near as healthy as it was in post WW2 decades. While there has been some improvement under the Obama administration, that improvement is small. Unemployment has come down slightly, but a growth in manufacturing has been insignificant. Bipartisan cooperation is non existent and the type of jobs act that FDR had instilled have been repeatedly denied by Congress. Given that the 2 major parties have refused to enact job creation bills or fund stimulation programs, and the current Bush Tax Cuts are an item that the GOP insists upon keeping my question is as follows:
Mr Romney, how long do you think it will take to return the economy to a healthy status under the current status quo? > Mr Obama, same question.

How does the President of the USA reign in people such as Mitch McConnel and John Boener whose only visable and avowed goals in life are to try and make the President's life miserable. They wind up hurting the American people and stiffle progress as well as the well intended efforts of the President with their sinister right wing conservative behind the door games that sabotage the efforts of others with those chicken /***88 grins on their smirking Republican faces. why can't something be done to rid us of these rotten trees blocking the passage of everyone and every thing that aspires to make America better?

The house has passed many good things the last 2 years only to have Harry Ried kill it in the Senate. 3 1/2 years and no budget has been passed thanks to the democrats in the Senate. Don't blame any one but Harry Ried for nothing getting done.

Much of the statements identified here thus far have nothing or little to do with Foreign Policy!
The Question I wish to ask Mr. Romney is: "What would you have done different then the president to counteract the killings at our Embassy, knowing that a commander has to delegate authority to subordinates - as he is unable to know everything that is happening around him at all times?"
and
"As President, what would you do with Iran, should they defy the the world and continue to pursue their nuclear ability - would you involve America in another war we cannot win?
