i am not perfect, therefore i donot judge others nomatter what, and trust i have worked all my life and never been in trouble, donot drink nor smoke, but still not perfect, and never judgemental.

Here is what I think a lot of you are missing. This man did not just start shooting at a funeral or wake without cause. I am not defending him, nor am I oblivious to the fact that he did the wrong thing.
The men who killed his friend and attempted to murder his brother were never apprehended. They did come back to the wake shooting at innocent family members and children were also present.
This person was aware that this may happen and did have a gun on him (right or wrong), but shot back to scare the murderers off.
In this case, he was excercizing his 2nd amendment and protecting his family. Albeit, we do have laws against felons being in possession of a firearm; what would you do in this scenerio? Try to look at it from the perspective of the deceased's mother or children. The man who was murdered was trying to better his life, he was trying to get that second chance that most gang members do not. This was a cold blooded killing in front of his mothers home, while him his friend went to get into a vehicle where children were present. It's sad on so many levels.
I personally am allowed to possess a firearm. I would do anything to protect my family and feel that to be my god given right.
So this guy comes from a different past than a lot of us, but wouldn't you react in a similar way???
