No there's no old mine shafts in bolingbrook I grew up there. But however there are numerous forest preserves in the area and numerous industrial parks close by... I believe drew got away with the first killing of his third wife and being a cop knew that if stacy died in a similar mannor he would be caught. Cops have great resources to forensics and tend to know what investigating officers would look for at a crime scene so unfortunatly they have a better chance of getting away with crimes. My dad was a cook county cop and taught me a lot before he passed away ironically when we first moves to bolingbrook my dad actually met drew at what was then dominicks.. and even more ironically when my dad passed in 05 drew actually helped me with getting paperwork and getting my dads personal firearm squared away at bolingbrook pd. The movie just ended. I thought it was the typical Lifetime movie (budget, talent).

I read Joe's book when it first came out and then I read another on the same subject. I was impressed by Joe's book and the story he told BUT I was underwhelmed by the movie and it's content. To much was left out and the "artistic license" that was taken was way off base.

Some scenes of the movie were verbatim of my life..so I know in my heart the depth of what his wives went through...the fear....the alone-ness....the constant walking on egg-shells to please.....I can only thank God I am alive....having said that, it is still sometimes a struggle to share with others what you have been through with this person.
