Trick or Treat Hours Set
We've included surrounding communities in our list in case you want to trick or treat in a neighboring community.
Wednesday is Halloween. Area towns have set certain hours for trick or treating. Additionally, area police and village administrators want to remind people how to trick or treat safely. If you are a homeowner, police in multiple juristictions want to remind you to turn the porch light on if you are participating in trick or treating activities.
To keep kids safe, police suggest parents accompany small children and remind older children to walk, not run between houses and to cross streets only when intersections are clear.

Trick or Treat hours: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Joliet
Trick or Treat hours: 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Minooka
Trick or Treat hours: 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Plainfield
Trick or Treat hours: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Shorewood
Trick or Treat hours: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Kind of wish I was still a kid. I would be out there by 3 and stay out until like 9. When I was growing up there were no set hours to trick or treat. Then again the world wasn't a bunch of pussies like it is now. I wonder what a cop would try to do if they saw a kid out before or after hours. Would they try to arrest the kid if they refused to stop? I would love it if I had a kid and he was brought home by shorewood talking about he can't trick or treat...
