New Business Slated to Open in Minooka
A new business is planning to open in Minooka, while the latest business to occupy the former Bean Encounter space closes its doors.
One month ago, on Feb. 4, O'Donjo's closed its doors. The restaurant, which was located in the building that formerly housed Bean Encounters, was owned by the same people that owned Grill Marx in Shorewood. Grill Marx closed its doors in September 2011. No official information on the reason it closed was available through the village.
But it's not all bad news for the businesses in Channahon and Minooka. There is a business ready to open in the plaza where Ace Hardware is located. Rumor has it that the business going into that space will serve coffee, a much needed commodity in the area, according to residents. Watch for more information on that business next week.

I don't know about needing a coffee joint. If bean encounters couldn't make it then why try another?

Bean Encounters was great but their prices were a little high. If the price is right, people will flock for coffee and other great food items. We need something new in our area!

I was very sad to have both Bean Encounters & O'Donjo's close as I frequented both establishments. I really hope a decent coffee place opens as we need more than just BP, McD's, and Dunkin Donuts.
