Don't bother calling the police, my experience with then is they will do a 30 m.p.h. drive by withRead Morew indows up and then report to dispatch that the call was unfounded and then go back to stationary patrol at the pantry , McDonald or Speedway...

Courtney, We met at Aux Sable Field Day last year doing that pool water game. I was saddened toRead Morehe ar of your accident. I prayed often for you and your family. Yes Maryellen, I liked your article. I believe Ron is a good man, and I know the Boys and GirlsRead MoreClub s are worthy of support. I also know that Patch has a huge audience. So to readers, I propose going back 25 years and remembering the concept of "thinking globally, acting locally." $25 can by a lot of dry goods for a needy family. Right now in Chicagoland it is 15 degrees below zero, the wind is blowing around 25 MPH, there is a foot of snow on the ground, and there are too many children with inadequate boots, gloves and coats. Our local charities are starving for donations to keep up with the demand. The people who walk to the food panties need coats. But I'm not a very good writer and I'm not an activist, so maybe this will help. Wherever you live, please find a local charity and help as you can. Peace.

I also owe you an apology. I don't understand Patch all that well, I thought you were a localRead MoreChicag o author writing about Hollywood. I was wrong. Conditions are bad here right now, and there are people here who desperately need help. There are people in your area who need help, too. Maryellen, I apologize.
