The Channahon Township's offices include several local government departments.  The Highway Department maintains the Township equipment and trucks, purchases new equipment, and maintains the roads and bridges in the unincorporated areas of the district. The supervisor chairs the Board of Trustees, administers general assistance and is the treasurer of all town funds. The assessor determines actual value of real property while maintaining equity between properties in the township.
