Fun at the Circus

Read and see the Kelly Miller's Circus from a child's point of view.

Hi this is Maddy Holloway.

This year again, my mom and sister Abby attened the . It was fun watching it. My top favorite acts were the elephants, the jugglers and the fire breathing man.

I liked the elephants when the two elephants placed their front feet on the third elephant and balanced themselves. I thought it was kind that the elephants assisted the ladies upon their backs. They did this with the help of their strong trunks.

There were two juggling acts. The first one was a man who juggled bowling pins; regular and glow-in-the-dark; hats and balls. He went around in a circle with three hats. He took one off and put it on his head and kept repeating. All while he was running.

The juggler also juggled ping pong balls with his mouth. He put one in and spit it out and kept repeating until he had more than three balls at one time.

Another juggler used his feet to juggle his family.  The man laid on a chair and raised his legs. His children would sit on his feet and after being kicked into the air, they would do a stunt. The stunts included spins flips and more. The brother and sister also hung onto a pole that their father spun with his feet. They were flying! I would love to do that!

The fire breathing man took sticks, dipped them in a solution and lit the sticks. He than put them in his mouth and turned into a dragon. Well, not really. He was breathing the fire. It got really hot. I could feel the heat from where I sat.

While I liked all the acts featuring the various animals and acrobats, I did not care for the 20 minute intermission. It was too long, especially for a two-hour show. If I ran the show I would make it zero minutes.

I may or may not go again next year. The acts were the same as the previous year. Overall, we had a good time. By the way, the popcorn and cotton candy were good.
