No living thing should be outdoors in this weather

In Chicagoland there is a foot of snow on the ground, the temperature is 15 degrees below zero and the wind is gusting 25 miles per hour; sustained at 15.  These conditions are virtually unprecedented. It's difficult to conceptualize something that's not been observed before. These freezing temperatures are not unlike what the danger would be if the temperature was 130 degrees in the summer. If you take chances in this weather it might kill you.  Stay indoors until it passes.
