Get Out: Support Illinois Special Olympics Saturday by Visiting McDonalds

Channahon Police will be atop the McDonalds' roof Saturday, raising money of special Olympics.

This Saturday, starting at 6:30 a.m., the roof of the McDonalds on Route 6 will be covered in police officers. The event will raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.

Most villages held this fundraiser on the roof of area Dunkin Donuts locations. But, since Channahon does not have a Dunkin Donuts in village limits, they sit on the roof of the McDonalds instead.

Channahon Police Chief Joe Pena is the director of the Illinois State Torch Run.
