Offerman Style: Minooka Comic Recaps Your Summer Reading List

Behind on your summer reading assignments? Don't worry. Minooka's Nick Offerman has a quick—and too funny—recap to get you set for back-to-school duty.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Minooka native and self-proclaimed “American Ham” Nick Offerman provided hysterical public-service relief for the back-to-school crowd looking to complete their summer reading assignments.

Offerman, who played Ron Swanson on TV’s Parks and Recreation, recapped highlights from a number of books, including Of Mice and Men.

“Bottom Line: Don’t let the big dumb guy pet your puppy or touch your wife. That is not a euphemism,” he said.

Offerman, 43, will appear with his special guest wife Megan Mullally Aug. 31 at The Wilbur Theatre in Boston on the next big stop on his “American Ham” tour. Then, on Oct. 3, he will perform at the Chicago Theatre.
