When and how did your business get started?

Elegant Escapes is brand new business. We opened Nov. 30, on Small Business Saturday. I've talked about starting a business for years when my friend said, There's people who Get things done, People who watch people get things done and people who wonder how did that get done WHICH ONE ARE YOU? Wow, no more talking. I've raised two children and now this is my new season. I love helping and educating people. I've worked with Minor Chiropractic and now I have the confidence to it go out on my own.

What is your business best known for?

Massage Therapy I am the best Massage Therapist. Deep tissue, wicked elbows and raindrop therapy to build the immune system, cleanse and detox. Great stylists. We carry Paul Mitchell and we support small residents by selling local handmade items soaps, scarves, hats, ornaments.

Why did you choose the town you did to open your business?

I've worked in Minooka for the last four years and I live here. There are no spas in Minooka, what a great idea!

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

We build Beauty Through Health focusing on Raindrop Therapy, Cleanses and Detoxes that build the immune system, increases circulation—so many benefits. We do a shiatsu barefoot massage (we walk on).

We do a Community Challenge program with Visalis to hold ourselves accountable for a Healthy Lifestyle. Constantly offering classes for stylist on color, highlites, cuts and products with Paul Mitchel so we can give the best to our clients.
