“This is very exciting for us and we absolutely love our location,” said Michelle Moore, owner of All About Kids. “We hope everyone else will too. We can’t wait to roll out some fun new programs for the kids.”

An open house was held on Dec. 1 and Dec. 4 for the community. Refreshments were served while future party-goers toured the facility.

“We are now offering new creative theme birthday party packages along with the best we-do-everything-for-you-style parties you can find,” Moore said.

The birthday packages are offered at different levels. Some include paper products and pizza and cake. Guests can also save money by choosing a package that will allow them to bring in their own cake and drinks, which is offered for a lesser price.

A Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop Stuff-N-Fluff party allows guests to stuff a bear or another animal of choice, such as a dinosaur, with fluff. And party-goers will even get to clothe it, and will receive a wishing star and birth certificate for the stuffed animal.

The Lego Party lets the children expand their imagination and create towers, cars and houses with the Legos.

The Pajama Party requires children to wear their pajamas and to bring a sleeping bag or blanket. While the guests do not spend the night at All About Kids, Inc., they will engage in sleepover games, such as charades and crazy spin. Poster making, movie time and food are also included.

Supervised sock puppet making and craft making are other birthday packages available.

And for those who don’t want a specific theme, traditional or basic party parties are offered. These packages include games like Bozo buckets, freeze dance, as well as cake and presents.

All About Kids will be offering workshops and programs in addition to birthday parties. Children’s Creation Workshops, open play times, a Kid’s Club, after-school camp, Drop-N-Shop mini camp and fun activity nights, Moore said.

Enrollment is currently taking place for the camp programs. Daily activities in camp will vary to include games, outside activities, arts and crafts, music, movies, free play and field trips.

All About Kids was formerly in. The previous location on Northern Illinois Drive was set back in the industrial area of Channahon. The new location is more visible to the community.

Although the staff remains the same, the move changed the company’s name and the jumpies have been retired. Moore said she feels that she and her staff have perfected their party hosting ability over the past two and a half years and guarantees her parties and workshops will cheer up the kids to the point that they will forgot all about the jumpies.

“This was a difficult decision for us, but due to the economy and the rent/overhead expense associated to the warehouse space needed for jumpies, we had to make this change,” said Moore. “We can’t very well call ourselves The Jump Up anymore when we won’t be putting jumpies up to jump on. Never fear though, we are still the best birthday party place around.”
