New Music Instruction and Instrument Repair Shop Opens in Channahon

Gearhead has been in business since 2009. But in February, the business owner Steev Custer opened doors to a brick and mortar store on Eames Street in Channahon. His new business, which will offer both instrument repair and instruction, is located next door to Thumbalina Boutique. Watch for a story on the new business on Patch.

• The Salon Professional Academy is looking for models for the North American Hairstylist Awards. The Salon Professional Academy announced on its Facebook page that female applicants must be between the ages of 18-25 and open to a new look for a professional photo shoot. • Shorewood-Troy Public Library is having a book-sale on April 5th and 6th. The are asking patrons to drop off unwanted books.
