4-H Fair, Young People Demonstate Horsemanship

At the Grundy 4-H Fair in Morris, 4-H club members show their horse handling and riding skills in the three day event. Traditional animals, can be seen, too, as can project areas as diverse as sewing and rocketry

At the Grundy County Fair grounds this weekend in Morris, young horse owners showed that they know how to handle and ride their large animals. Liz Collins, 18, of the Silver Spurs 4-H Club ran alongside her pinto horse in the halter division. Two brothers, Alex and Adam Lindemann, got a taste of showing their animals to the approving eyes of the judges for the first time. All the traditional trappings of the Fair were in place, too. Animal exhibits and project demonstrations ranging from sewn dressy outifts to rocketry are on view.

The Fair continues through Monday.

Editor's Note: Stay tuned Thursday for more photos from the fair.
