Bites Nearby: The Crab House

It's Friday and it's not as though this week's Bites Nearby is nearby. Instead, it is the first of two stories I have on food I ate while visiting Florida.

The Crab House was on my list of places to try because of one thing - a seafood buffet. And it did not disappoint. For about $17, I could eat as much as I wanted.

The seafood frenzy began with a make-your-own Caesar salad - where you could put as few or as many anchovies as you wanted on the salad. It ended with two trips to the bar for fresh strawberries and whipped cream. In the middle were some delicious dishes, including a calamari salad, of which I had three helpings.

As I mentioned in my , I did not know The Crab House was part of a chain of restaurants that includes Bubba Gump Shrimp. Despite that, I would recommend The Crab House.

The Crab House I ate at is at 8291 International Drive in Orlando. It has outdoor seating but since it was at melting point outside, we ate inside. On a nice night, though, this would be a great option.
