Don't Park on the Street

Both Channahon and Minooka have village ordinances that ticket cars parked on the street after two or more inches of snow.

The National Weather Service is on Thursday. After two inches of snow, both Channahon and Minooka Police will be out ticketing those who chose to park on the street.

"We have signs posted at both entrances to our village," Channahon Police Chief and Interim Village Manager Joe Pena said. "There is no excuse."

In neighboring Minooka, Minooka Police Chief Justin Meyer said there are signs throughout the village, including in subdivisions, reminding people to not park on the street after two inches of snow.
