Keep Safety in Mind

Channahon Police would like to remind community members to keep their belongings secure.

Channahon Deputy Police Chief Jeff Wold would like to remind residents that there are steps they can take to keep their belongings safe. He said there has recently been an increase in both residential burglaries and burglaries from vehicles in some communities near Channahon.

"Even though Channahon has not been targeted, I wanted to send out some public safety reminders to help reduce your chances of being a victim," he said.

  • Keep your cars locked, in the garage if possible.
  • Keep valuables out of the public view.
  • Immediately report suspicious cars and persons to the police.
  • Try to get a physical description, direction of travel, and license plate number.

If you have any questions, call the department at 815-467-5152. To report an incident, call the non-emergency number at 815-467-2112. To report an emergency call 9-1-1.
