New No Trespassing Ordinance Give Police Options

Minooka Village Board members enact an ordinance in response to resident's concerns.

At its Feb. 22 meeting, Minooka Village Board members unanimiously approved a no-trespassing ordinance. This gives police the ability to ticket tresspassers on a local ordinance ticket for $50. The passage of the ordinance was in response to Minooka resident Ray Dykstra, who came before the board with of people who go to the pond between Heather Ridge and Indian Ridge subdivisions, but do not live there.
