No Injuries, But Damage to Living Room Area in Minooka Mobile Home Fire

Chief Al Yancey said firefighters were able to douse the blaze in rapid fashion.

No one was injured in fire in a Minooka mobile home late on Tuesday night.

Minooka Fire Protection District chief Al Yancey said crews responded to a reported residential fire at 48 Oak Street at 11:39 p.m. He said first arriving companies encountered a mobile home with smoke showing.

"Crews made entry and made an initial attack to quickly bring the fire under control," Yancy said in a news release issued on Wednesday morning.

He said fire damage was limited to the living room area of the residence with smoke and heat damage throughout the mobile home.

Yancey said the cause of the fire is under investigation. He said Minooka firefighters were assisted at the scene by Channahon, Morris and Troy fire district personnel as well as Minooka Police and the Grundy County Sheriff's Department.
