Short Handed Eagles Come Up Big

Families of Faith's varsity boys hosted Parkview Christian last night. The Eagles were short handed due to player ineligibility, injury and one dealing with a death in the family.

But, the Eagles didn't let it slow them down against an improved Parkview team. The Eagles raced out to a 15-0 first quarter lead and never looked back.

Showing patience on offense the Eagles got good shots and were hot early. Parkview played even with the Eagles in the second quarter, trailing at halftime 26-11.

The two teams played even again in the third quarter before the Eagles pulled away in the fourth quarter enroute to a 61-32 final.

The Eagles top scorer Josiah Blan missed the game due to a death in the family, so other Eagle players stepped up.

The scoring was led by Cody Blan with a season high 24 points. Blan was aided by Cody Kern who added a season high 14 points and Vincent Dorantes with a season high 11 points. Dorantes led the way on the glass with 14 boards.

The Parkview Falcons were led by Austin West with 17 points.

The Eagle girls and boys travel to Romeoville Christian on Tuesday, December 3 before returning home Thursday to take on Westlake Christian.
