"CHAIR-ity" EVENT FOR LOCAL FAMILY

A local Channahon Resident and owner of "Vintage" in Downtown Morris hosts a "CHAIR-ity" event every year to help support the local community that supports her store.

This year, she will be doing her "CHAIR-ity" event in honor of another local Minooka resident, Justin Abraham.

Justin's story:  Born with Congenital Hepatic Fibrosis, connected to Polycystic Kidney Disorder. He will be on dialysis due to his kidneys having cystis.

Justin recieved some news  after a routine visit to the dentist turned up a sign of high blood pressure. He consulted his Dr. and they ran tests only to find out he was in some serious trouble.

Justins kidneys were not functioning like they should be due to numerous cystis that were in each one. He is now and will be on dialysis longterm, until he consults with a specialist to see when a transplant can be done.

All of the money raised will be used to pay for future medical bills and other related expenses. Treatments for Justin can get very expensive, so when he does have the operation he will be missing work for a few months.

His first surgery to have his spleen removed was April 19th.

HOW CAN YOU HELP:  Vintage is collecting Chairs, couches, loveseats, stools, settees, benches, etc for the event.  There will be a silent Auction to bid on these items, and the highest bidder gets to take the item home.  To donate a "chair" please contact the store at 815-513-5670.
