Fat Boys and Stuff of Minooka (815)467-9100 & the Liz Daniels Scholarship fund

    Elizabeth Kirby Daniels was born and raised in Channahon. At the very young age of 15 she was taken from her loving family by a horrific car accident this past spring 2013, and our lives were changed forever. The angels called Elizabeth “Liz” Daniels to heaven. Liz was a freshman at Minooka Community High School.

Liz was a member of the Minooka Orchesis Dance Company. Liz has been dancing since she was 4, and danced her way around life from that point on. Not a worry in the world, Liz would always be there for her friends, family, and community. Liz was someone you could look up to as a role model. Anytime you would see Liz she was either dancing, being goofy with friends, or running around with her Superman costume on.

Her parents, David and Heidi Daniels have wanted to give back to others in her honor, so they have created this scholarship as a way to never let her memory be forgotten and to help Seniors in high school who share the same love of dance by helping them with their future endeavors in college.  At the end of the 2014 school year a committee at the high school will be choosing several seniors that have been involved in dance and shared Liz’s love for dance. After the Liz Daniels Scholarship Committee has reviewed the applicants, the recipients will be chosen. David and Heidi will attend Seniors Honors Night and present that deserving student/students the scholarship.

 Liz would want everyone to follow their dreams and her dream was dancing. We want to keep her memory alive.
