Bolingbrook Man Faces Charges in Crash With House

The accident took place in September in Minooka.

John A. Rusnak, 38, of Bolingbrook was arrested on charges of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to report an accident and failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle or property. Kendall County Sheriff's Police reported the arrest in connection to a hit and run crash in which a vehicle struck a house.

Sheriff's police responded to a single family residence in the 12000 block of Grove Road at about 7:15 a.m., Sept. 30. The house is in Minooka, in unincorporated Kendall County.

According to a written release, sheriff's police investigated the crash and questioned Rusnak, who "admitted to detectives that on Sept. 29, at approximately 10:50 PM he was traveling at a high rate of speed, and then ran off the roadway, struck the residence, and left the scene."
