Dump Truck Ends Up in Ditch on Route 6

A dump truck carrying dirt and rocks went off the road and into a ditch at the intersection of Illinois Route 6 and South Tabler Road on Monday afternoon.

Minooka Fire Protection District officials responded to a call after a dump truck carry dirt and rocks went off the road and into a ditch on Monday afternoon.

Deputy chief Howard Hoffman said the accident occured at the intersection of Illinois Route 6 and South Tabler Road. No one was injured.

"I don't know if the truck driver missed the turn or if he had a break issue," Hoffman said. "But he went off the road and into the ditch on the south side of Route 6."

Hoffman said officials with Lyondell Chemical used absorbent pads to catch leaking fuel from the dump truck.
