Homeless Man Tells How Joliet Cops Drove Him Out to Channahon & Left Him Stranded in the Freezing Cold
Homeless man Brian Davidson told Patch how the Joliet police have tried to run him out of town.
A homeless man who claims the Joliet police have tried to run out of town sat down with Patch and told how a cop drove him all the way to Channahon and left him there in the freezing cold last winter.
Brian Davidson, 33, says he won't back down from police he accused of intimidating and harassing him. Davidson also won't stop panhandling, which his attorney, John Schrock, says he is constitutionally entitled to do.
Schrock filed a complaint in federal court claiming Joliet's anti-panhandling law violates the U.S. Constitution.
Davidson is concerned about retaliation by the police but said he isn't leaving town.
"They're going to have to bury me," Davidson said.
"I'm not leaving Joliet because I'm homeless."
