Man Suing For Wound Allegedly Suffered During Paintball Game

A man claims he suffered a severe injury to his leg while playing in a paintball game at CPX Sports in Joliet, and now he's suing.

A paintball player claims he fell on a metal stake and blames the owners of the recreational facility where he was playing for the injury he suffered.

Leonel Vazquez sustained a "really severe gash on his leg," said his attorney, David Heyer of Chicago.

Vazquez was playing in a paintball game at CPX Sports in June when he "landed on a metal stake sticking out of the ground," according to a lawsuit filed on his behalf by Heyer at the Will County Courthouse.

Heyer said Vazquez is in his 20s and lives somewhere in DuPage County.

The lawsuit demands a judgment against CPX Sports in excess of $50,000.

CPX Sports operates about 20 different paintball fields on its 150-acre complex. The Schweitzer Road facility also rents and sells paintball equipment.

It's not "sue happy" if the fields negligence costed you thousands upon thousands in medical bills.

Its always unfortunate when accidents happen!!! As a Paintball Field Owner with 29 years working in the industry and 25 years Owning and Operating my field called Paint Pursuit Games located near Minooka. Safety is always my main priority to me. The Paintball industry still has a very good safety record. I know I am required to acess the property I operate on very often. All field owners have to safety check their fields.Unfortunatley CPX must have missed something that day. Paintball is a extreme sport. There is always a risk of something happening. Just like any other sports. Paintball injuries are quite less than other accidents out in the world sports realated or other. I'm sure the owner of CPX is insured well. Its the reputation of Paintball Field Owners is what I'm concerned about. Because of this unfortunate media coverage. www.paintballfielchicago.com
