Minooka Man Dies in Single Vehicle Motorcycle Accident

The accident overnight on Interstate 80 closed down lanes.

A 41-year-old man died early Friday morning in a motorcycle accident on westbound Interstate 80. Edward Miller, of Minooka, was pronounced dead at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center, Illinois State Police Trooper Ryan Palmer said.

The passenger on the motorcycle, Wendy Gonzalez, 41, of Lansing, Illinois, was treated and released from the hospital.

The accident occurred at 12:15 a.m. around mile marker 127, which is near Hoboult Road.

The accident is still under investigation, but police said at this point it seems the driver lost control for an unknown reason.
