Minooka Man Stalked & Exposed Self to Teen in Manhattan: Cops

The Minooka man was bold enough to follow the teen and her mother to the police station, an officer said.

A Minooka man exposed himself to a teen at a Manhattan gas station and then followed the girl and her mother around town—continuing to tail them even when they went to the police station for help, an officer said.

Brian Soehnholz, 41, of 613 Brita Trail was booked into the Will County jail Wednesday  on charges of stalking and public indecency.

Soehnholz allegedly exposed himself to a 17-year-old girl at the Manhattan BP station Feb 5. Soehnholz was standing by a gas pump and the teen and her mother were at another pump when he exposed himself, police said.

The teen and her mother left the gas station and Soehnholz followed them, police said, turning up at three or four locations around town they happened to have stopped at.

The teen and her mother then reportedly headed to the Manhattan Police Department. While filling an officer in on their alleged day with Soehnholz, they also reportedly mentioned that he was at the Ace Hardware, across the street and about 50 yards from the Police Department.

An officer pulled Soehnholz over as he was driving away from the hardware store and charged him with the illegal transportation of alcohol.

When Soehnholz appeared in court for his traffic case Thursday, he was taken into custody on the stalking and public indecency charges. He was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
