Morris Man Arrested for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault
Grundy County Sheriff Terry Marketti said the arrest comes after a minor child reached out for help.
Thomas E. Harr, 72, of the 10100 block of N. Brown Road, in Morris was arrested on two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and three counts of Criminal Sexual Assault, Grundy County Sheriff's Police released on Wednesday.
Grundy County Sheriff Terry Marketti said in a written release that the incident was reported on Aug. 23 at the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department, after a minor child reached out for help from caregivers, alleging several occasions of abuse, over an extended period of time.
The investigation included representatives from Grundy County Sheriff's Police, Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, and the Grundy County Advocacy Center. Harr was taken into custody and appeared in Grundy County Court on Aug. 31, where he was formally charged. Grundy County Judge Peterson set bond at $200,000.00. Harr's next court date is Sept. 27.
