Tourists get busted for wayward parking. Then an alleged felon is arrested with guns and pot.

Tourists Beware

July 13

Three visitors from other states caught the wrath of Minooka Police when they parked whee they shouldn't have. Ryan Kemper, 33, of Baltimore, OH, Jeremy Meyer, 25, of Des Moines, IA, and Tony Franklin, 45, of Forest City, AR wer each cited for parking where prohibited. They were at 1 W. Ottawa Drive.

On the same day, Michal Doss, 32, of Morris was cited for allegedly not wearing safety belts.

Felony City

July 12

Minooka police said they arrested Katherine Mahoney, 23, in the 1400 block of Sunflower Court. She is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, which is also a felony. The second charge was possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis. She was transported to Grundy County jail.

Minooka man, Chris Fanson, 21, caught a double whammy. He was caught allegedly driving a vehicle without a license or insurance.

Not to be out done, Tony Fleming, 51, of Lisle, got a triple whammy. He allegedly operated an uninsured vehicle with bad mirrors and in improper projecting load.

Rafael Castaneda, 37, of Blue Island, was pulled over for allegedly disobeying a traffic signal. Turns out, he was also allegedly driving without insurance.

Plainfield resident, Jason, Farrell, 27 was cited for speeding on Ridge Road and Edgewater Drive.
