Police Blotter: Unlawful Consumptoin of Alcohol, Disobeyed Traffic Signal

Arrests made by the Minooka Police Department and other law enforcement agencies.

Robert G. Beaudoin, 19, Plainfield, cited by Minooka Police for unlawful consumption of alchoholic liquor by a minor in the 700 block of Clifford Drive, Minooka, on March 19, 2013.

Darius Burchard, 20, Denver, Colo., issued citation of disobeyed traffic control signal by Minooka Police at 305 N. Ridge/ramp, Minooka, on March 19, 2013.

Ronald T. Lamanna, 47, Plainfield, issued citation of improper overtaking on left same direction by Minooka Police at 1010 S. Ridge Road, Minooka, on March 19, 2013.

Michele L. Callahan, 41, Minooka, arrested by Minooka Police for driving under the influence and unlawful use of weapons after finding Callahan in possession of an expandable baton on March 19, 2013. Callahon posted bond and was released.

Edgar Martinez, 39, Joliet, arrested by Minooka Police after being stopped for an expired registration on March 19, 2013. Police found Martinez to have a warrant out of Kendall County. He was transported to the Minooka Police Department. Martinez posted bond and was released.

Daniel Q. Higgenbotham, 18, Minooka, issued citation of driving w/o head/tail lights when required or defective on March 18, 2013 at 0 S. Ridge Road/w Mondamin St., Minooka.

Francisco Xavier Cerna, 25, Joliet, issued citation of speeding 31 mph or more over speed limit on March 18, 2013 at 12200 E. I-80 Blk., Minooka. Cerna also was issued a citation of failed to yield to authorized emergency vehicle.

only 1 disregarding a traffic signal? seriously? Every morning between 6:30-7:00 depending on traffic-- there are at least 1 blown red light violation every day at the Pilot and in the evening, there is at least 1 per night who do u-turns at that same intersection...yet our police force can only muster 1 ticket? You do the math on how much revenue is left on the street each day....
