Police: Channahon Man Sexually Abused Girlfriend's Daughter

Brian K. Swanson, 40, of the 25000 block of Bluff Street in Channahon, remained in Will County Jail early Friday following his Wednesday arrest on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, police said.

The victim is an 11-year-old girl, who now lives out of state and is the daughter of Swanson's ex-girlfriend. The alleged abuse happened in Channahon.

"After the relationship between Brian and the girlfriend went bad, (the girlfriend and her daughter) moved back out-of-state and the daughter made the allegation from her home state," said Channahon Police Deputy Chief Jeff Wold.

"Channahon Police did an investigation and we were able to recover enough evidence to get felony approval to have him arrested. It doesn't appear at this time that there are any other victims."
