Police Seeking Help Finding Missing Man, 69

Henry Chunn was last seen leaving Harrah's Casino Hotel in downtown Joliet shortly before noon Thursday, police said.

Joliet police have issued a missing person report for a Calumet City man last seen leaving Harrah's Casino Hotel in downtown Joliet and walking westbound over the Cass Street Bridge Thursday morning.

Henry L. Chunn, 69, and his wife, Victoria, were staying at the hotel, police said. His wife left to get them breakfast at about 9 a.m. and discovered he was gone when she returned.

A surveillance video shows Chunn leaving the hotel and crossing the bridge at about 11:50 a.m., police said.

Chunn is black, with gray hair and brown eyes. He stands about 5-foot-10 and weighs about 165 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark blue jeans, blue-and-gray gym shoes and a White Sox cap.

His wife told police that her husband does not suffer from mental or medical conditions, but a subsequent report indicated he may be in the early stages of dementia. He is known to leave his residence and walk for up to eight hours a day, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Joliet Detective Chris Schott at 815-724-3056.
