Ring, ring: MAP Agent Will Be Calling on Behalf of Minooka Police

Police service agency will be soliciting donations during fundraising efforts.

Expect a call from an agent with the Metropolitan Alliance of Police (MAP).

The organization—which represents law enforcement officers for the purpose of collective bargaining and other legal services—soon will be reaching out to residents of Minooka during its fundraising efforts, according to a news release issued by Minooka Police Chief Justin Meyer.

To be clear: Meyer said individuals making telephone calls for MAP are not members of the Minooka Police Department and donations do not become property of the Minooka Police Department.

Rather, donations will fund services MAP offers to officers, he said.
