Minooka Community High School to Offer Summer Driver Education Course

Minooka Community High School will once again offer a driver education course this summer for area teenagers.  The course is open to students who are fifteen years old, who live within the boundaries of MCHS District 111, and who have completed at least eight high school credit hours.

 

There are two components to the course.  The classroom component of the course is scheduled from Monday, June 4th through Friday, June 30th, and the behind the wheel component of the course will begin on Monday, June 4th and will end no later than Friday, July 6th.

Information and registration forms may be picked up from your school high school counselor. To request an application or for more information, please call Bert Kooi at 815-521-2338.  Minooka Community High School students are asked to return the application and a non-refundable $265 fee no later than Friday, March 9th. Students not attending MCHS but living within district 111 boundaries should return the application and fee no later than March 9th.  A mandatory meeting for parents and students enrolled in the summer driver education course will be held on Monday, May 7th at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria at Minooka Community High School South Campus.
