Minooka High School Principal Resigns

The board also hired an interim superintendent.

Minooka Community High School Principal Darcie Kubinski submitted her resignation to the board of education on Thursday, according to the Herald-News.

The resignation came after teachers voted "no confidence" in Kubinski and then-Superintendent Jim Colyott in December. The board voted in May to terminate Colyott, although his contract does not expire until next June.

In addition to approving Kubinski's resignation, the board on Thursday also hired former Lombard Elementary School District 44 Superintendent Jim Blanche as interim superintendent, according to the Herald-News. Click here to read the full article.

Kubinski was hired by Minooka Community High School District in 2012. Prior to that, she spent nearly a decade working for Plainfield School District 202, where she held several roles, including school psychologist and associate principal of Plainfield Central High School.
