Boating Safety Class enrollment opens

Volunteers from the US Coast Guard Auxiliary will present, "About Boating Safely" on Saturday, October 27 in Morris.  The class is the most popular boating safety class in America.  These boating experts will discuss basic navigation, routine operations, state boating laws and emergency procedures.

New boaters will learn much about how to operate their vessel.  Illinois state law requires this class for teenagers (under age 18) who wish to operate jet skis or power boats without their parents on board.

The one-day class starts at 8:30 am and will be over by 5 pm.  The course fee is $40.  Lunch is not included.  This course is at Grand Sport Marine's new location along Interstate 80.
