Civil War Saturday at the Joliet Area Historical Museum
Do you want to learn more about the Civil War? Then visit the Joliet Area Historical Museum on Saturday, April 9 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for Living History Demonstrations in the Museum’s lower level auditorium or, weather permitting, in the Fountain Garden off of the Museum’s Visitor’s Center. Each month, reeanctors from units throughout Joliet and Will County will demonstrate how the soldiers lived and fought during the time of the Civil War. Activities for kids will also be available in the upper level Discovery Room on these special Saturdays.
Civil War Saturdays are scheduled for the second Saturday of each month through December 10 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The program is included with regular Museum admission: $6 for adults, $5 for seniors (60+), $4 for students with valid school I.D., and $3 for youth ages 4-17. Admission to the museum is always free for Museum members.

The Museum is located at 204 N. Ottawa Street, in downtown Joliet. Free parking is available one block north of the Museum, at Ottawa and Webster.
