The ACA is unsustainable so it will die. The only question is how long and how much pain will beRead More inflicted before that death. The Euro is a great case study on the lengths politicans will go to prop up an unsustainable political experiment. The EU is inflicting great pain and damage to protect their collective egos, and job security, that is tied to the Euro. And the Dems will behave similarly re O'GolferCare.

Employer costs have been increasing every year anyway. It's called escalation, and anyone whoRead More sources insurance for their own company is aware of it. I think most people conflate "what was happening anyway" with "effects of Obamacare," but there is enough information on the internet about trends prior to 2009 to detail the original insurance problem. .....Personally, Obamacare is helping my business by opening up the insurance marketplace. In FY2008, I insured 3 employees (1 family, 2 single) through BCBS for about $3700/month. Escalation was quoted at 19% for FY2009 - an increase of $700/month. We hired an HR firm (or PEO) to access a group rates and paid 5-7% escalation 2009-2014. In preparation for FY2015, new insurance options have enabled us to drop the PEO altogether and choose a small-biz plan for a smaller monthly premium than our 2010 group rates. This is a tremendous benefit because it opens up options with fringe and retirement contributions to my employees. Deductibles and network coverage are too similar to impact any participants. Outside of my own experience, most people that I know who deal with insurance budgeting for their companies or families have reversed their opinion on Obamacare - once they had to put their money where their mouth is.

Bill Cosby's insight: They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't evenRead More talk the way these people talk: Why you ain't, Where you is, What he drive, Where he stay, Where he work, Who you be... And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth. In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics. I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2? Where were you when he was 12? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol? And where is the father? Or who is his father? People putting their clothes on backward: Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong? People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something? Or are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up? Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body? What part of Africa did this come from? We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa. With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap, and all of them are in jail. Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem. We have got to take the neighborhood back. People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' — or men or whatever you call them now. We have millionaire football players who cannot read. We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We as black folks have to do a better job. Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us. We have to start holding each other to a higher standard. We cannot blame the white people any longer. @Ralph Malph... my Postie Webber sense is tingling... I always like to engage the new era vs theRead More old and every takeaway is..it's two different eras..so comparing them never really works..Ali vs Superman..very subjective depending on who you ask and what you ask. I disagree...I saw Jordan flop plenty of times, although, flopping was never at the forefront as it is today. IMO..they all flop...I think james gets more criticism b/c well he's LB. My list of biggest floppers in the league are Hardin, Ginobili, Varejao, chris paul and pierce. But at the end of the day...if the league is going to revamp flopping then they need to reassess fouls especally that "catch em in the air..jump into them" foul...imo that's an offensive foul all day....everyday....

Francisco Espinal-Quiroz, 51, could face more charges in the highway deaths of four people Monday, July 21, including Ulrike Blopleh of Channahon.
Jp July 23, 2014 at 01:35 pm
It's was a horrible accident. My heart goes out to the families. The news did a cover story on thisRead More stretch of highway. It showed 172 accident 6 deaths and 58 injuries. The state needs to take a look into that. I do feel his bail is excessive. Let alone made him out to look like a murderer who intentionally did this. I guarantee he wishes it was him rather than to take 4 lives. I think there are many occupations that don't require log books yet these people have been up for 24 hrs + and they get behind the wheel. Yes he should be held responsible but There are people committing horrific crimes that don't get that kind of bail. I know when something horrible happens they want to throw the book at that person. Unfortunately nothing will change the outcome. A perfect example is cell phones. Many deaths have resulted from people causing accidents while on the phone. It's against the law to use them when driving but I see it every day. I will say people are responsible for there actions and there the only ones to blame. Don't put the blame on the state police. That's not on them. I feel for them and everyone on that scene because no doubt it was a horrific accident scene

Change we need...Change we need...heard that before? Thought the "change" was going to beRead More something entirely different? Many did and are now disappointed. I have to wonder why we are so stupid as to believe any politician when they say they will cut, freeze and do other good things based on revenue growth in the State. If you worked for a widget store that was loaded with department after useless department and, high expenses that could be cut but aren't: only to be called to a meeting by the owner who told you they were having cash flow problems (can't pay their bills) and were hoping to increase growth in the store (meaning get more customers and sales)...you might quickly look at that and realize the widget market is topped out and there are NO MORE sales and with no cuts internally...the place will be closing it's doors very soon. Time to go looking! So, don't believe what you hear. A successful business man will know and not admit that he has to cut, cut, cut, expenses and improve income to the best of his ability and hope that the cuts and savings help get the appreciation of the electorate allowing for more time to continue to cut the size and cost of government which will stabilize taxes and hopefully attract businesses and, finally, increase income/revenues. I believe Rauner will do just that! Oh...did I mention he will not need to kiss anyone's dupa because he don't need their money or favors. Vote for the successful candidate!

Last year when the construction in that area began and the crashes started adding up there was anRead More out cry about what to do about it. Well the state police and local and state legislators got together to try and find ways to reduce the amount of accidents in the area. Nice job guys-NOT. I know it is not solely the fault of local and state officials, blame must also go to those who drive recklessly. And by that I mean anything that distracts you from your PRIMARY job which is safely and legally operating your motor vehicle. Having higher speed limits is not the problem. Trucks ignoring the law that states their speed limit is 55mph is so widely ignored that they are a major contributor to the problem. Now I know there are people who will come on here and defend trucker drivers but who hit who here? In both crashes a truck was the initiator, need I say more? Regardless of what the state does there will always be stupid drivers, and as long as we have construction zones and stupid drivers we will have crashes and loss of life.
