Can the patch never show this things picture anymore? It's like she fell out of the ugly tree andRead More after hitting every branch on the way down someone picked her up by her feet and used her face to chop the ugly tree down only to land on this things face once more

Amen, Johnny! If Joliet Patch believes it's ok to use the mug shot of someone who died, they shouldRead More be using the mug shot for this POS. It's good enough for the other 3 ... why is this one so special? Well, she isn't.
Francisco Espinal-Quiroz, 51, could face more charges in the highway deaths of four people Monday, July 21, including Ulrike Blopleh of Channahon.

If it was Mrs. Mars here in Virginia doing the killing he would get off with a 5000 dollar fine!

My prayers and thoughts go to all involved in this tragic happening....However, it said on the newsRead More the truck driver needed an interpreter?? Why?? He's been collecting violations for over 22 years according to his DMV record?? Wake up people!! Now they are giving licenses to all Illegals?!?!? This is America and we use English as our language.. Learn it or go home!! This won't stop all the accidents, but it will surely put a dent in the totals.......

With regard to the construction on I55 taking so long - The employees from D Construction that IRead More have talked to tell me the state doesn't pay their bills. So D Construction sends their guys to work on the project as long as the money comes in...and when the State misses payments, then D stops construction until the money starts coming in again. I'm not defending anyone; just sharing information.

Vehicular Homicide charges will follow very soon, and he'll do some serious time in prison. His lifeRead More changed dramatically when he collided with car #1.

Lock his ass up and throw the key away.
With the vehicles involved in the crash still in the background, Illinois State Police held a press conference Monday, raising the death toll to five from Monday's two crashes on I-55 moments apart.
amanda July 22, 2014 at 08:48 am
and the names have been released: Three women and one girl were killed in the crash. They have beenRead More identified as: Kimberly K. Britton, 43, of Urbana; Piper Britton, 11, of Urbana; Vicky L. Palacios, 54, of Coal City; and Ulrike P. Blopleh, 48, of Channahon.
PatchMaster July 22, 2014 at 12:37 pm
Last year when the construction in that area began and the crashes started adding up there was anRead More out cry about what to do about it. Well the state police and local and state legislators got together to try and find ways to reduce the amount of accidents in the area. Nice job guys-NOT. I know it is not solely the fault of local and state officials, blame must also go to those who drive recklessly. And by that I mean anything that distracts you from your PRIMARY job which is safely and legally operating your motor vehicle. Having higher speed limits is not the problem. Trucks ignoring the law that states their speed limit is 55mph is so widely ignored that they are a major contributor to the problem. Now I know there are people who will come on here and defend trucker drivers but who hit who here? In both crashes a truck was the initiator, need I say more? Regardless of what the state does there will always be stupid drivers, and as long as we have construction zones and stupid drivers we will have crashes and loss of life.
Kristine Neumann July 22, 2014 at 03:03 pm
Speed is the problem. I don't think anyone drives 55 on the expressways. Everyone is in a hurry,Read More for what I don't know. Just to save a few minutes?

Those dam white people in those crime ridden white neighborhoods. They move into black neighborhoodsRead More , destroy it and bring in all their drug dealing, gang bangn and illegitimate fatherless baby factories. They also shoot up schools and theaters ever day. He is not a teen because he was 22. And he can't get charged with anything since he was deadRead More instantly. Two people died, the 22 year old and the passenger who got sent to Peoria. I knew the driver and it was reported he was drunk. So there is an underage drunk driver who killed 2 people....

Truth, the driver of that tractor trailer rig has only so far been charged with log bookRead More falsification. I had posted earlier that if what is alleged comes out to be fact, that guy needs to get a minimum of 25 years in the penitentiary. Well, I just heard on the six o'clock news that he is likely to be charged soon with vehicular homicide, which carries a maximum sentence of 28 years.
EAGLEYE July 22, 2014 at 10:22 pm
Ex-Jolietian, obviously the troopers cannot hammer them all, but they can and will crackdown on theRead More ones that break the law. They will do that for sure along with doing tough roadside safety inspections of their rigs. Any time there is an accident of this magnitude involving tractor trailer rigs, you will see stepped up police action on these rigs and their drivers. Don't forget also the fines in construction zones double and an accident involving a fatality let alone four victims would spell lots of years for the driver if convicted.
Ex Jolietian July 22, 2014 at 10:29 pm
From what I've seen the worst truckers are the guys that handle shipping containers....they tend toRead More drive the oldest trucks...and guys that drive gravel/grain trucks. They get paid by the load, not by the mile or by the hour. More loads, more money.

Stop the revolving door of justice(nonjustice!)!! Once they are involved in a crime involving a gun,Read More they should be sentenced to Hard Labor.. That's right, just like the Old Days!! No more of this crap where they lay around and get free room and board! Put them out in chain gangs and let them work! Screw the bleeding hearts who want to be nice to felons! Most of these people are hardened criminals..once again, if you do the crime, you do the time..But, now make it Hard Time that may sway them to straighten up!!
