Old Family Recipe Can Still Warm Stomachs and Hearts
Heather Frelichowski shares a family tradition and a recipe for beef stew
With the crisp fall weather beginning, stews and soups are getting more and more popular. I have found after making many beef stews in my time, that this particular recipe is one of the fastest and one of the easiest. This recipe was one that I found when I was going through old photos with my great-aunt Agnes. It was hidden in my grandmother and grandfather's old wedding portfolio. After giggling over the photos, we sat down and looked over this folded piece of paper that someone had written three recipes on. One for sausages, one for bread, and the last one being the one for the stew.
