Police found a body on Shadow Lake of a fisherman Saturday who reportedly fell through the ice on Friday.
At around 1 a.m., Saturday morning, Braidwood Police Chief Rich Girot said an officer on patrol noticed parked on the west side of the road, but did not see anyone around it, according to a report in the Joliet Herald News. When daylight returned, police discovered the man's body. “There was no way to see where he was from the highway,"Girot said in a story in the Herald News. "He was wearing a flotation device but just couldn’t get out. This was a tragic accident.”
