Two "pictures" for just $30 -- what a deal! The Joliet seller doesn't make it clear if they're reproductions or actual oil paintings.
If idealized Americana is your thing, these two "pictures done by an artist named C. Carson might be the perfect addition to your home. They're being sold on Craigslist by someone in Joliet, and even just two frames without art for $30 is not a bad deal. The Spanish Center in Joliet is selling off donations from Silver Cross Hospital.
When Silver Cross Hospital moved from its Joliet location to New Lenox, the furniture that had been used in the Joliet facility was available for donation. "They had gotten a new donation from somebody and they were going to be purchasing all new (furniture) for the new facility," Christina Melesio, event coordinator at The Spanish Center said. Melesio said Silver Cross contacted a number of non-profit organizations, but the furniture, which was offered at no cost for the non-profit to sell the items to raise money, had to be moved by the non-profit. Missing mom Linda Fellenbaum took a job as a live-in housekeeper for a Georgia man after she disappeared from Joliet.
For more than a month, the police hunted for some sign Hinsdale mom Linda Fellenbaum was still alive after she ran barefoot into the night during an argument with her boyfriend. Detectives are still piecing together why Fellenbaum dropped out of circulation for 38 days in October and November, and what exactly she was up to all that time. But for about a week and a half between Fellenbaum disappearing from her boyfriend's Joliet home and turning up in a Georgia jail, she hung out under a fake name in a small town south of Atlanta where she worked as a live-in housekeeper for a retired truck driver.
