If You are in Need of Furniture, the Spanish Center May be Your Solution
The Spanish Center in Joliet is selling off donations from Silver Cross Hospital.
When Silver Cross Hospital moved from its Joliet location to New Lenox, the furniture that had been used in the Joliet facility was available for donation. "They had gotten a new donation from somebody and they were going to be purchasing all new (furniture) for the new facility," Christina Melesio, event coordinator at The Spanish Center said. Melesio said Silver Cross contacted a number of non-profit organizations, but the furniture, which was offered at no cost for the non-profit to sell the items to raise money, had to be moved by the non-profit.
