Carlton Fisk Pleads Guilty to DUI Charge
The former White Sox pitcher and Baseball Hall of Famer was arrested in October after being found asleep in his vehicle that was driven into a New Lenox field.
Carlton Fisk, the one-time White Sox great who was found passed out behind the wheel in a New Lenox field three months ago, pleaded guilty Thursday to driving under the influence. Fisk has agreed to pay $1,250 in court costs and was sentenced to one year's court supervision under the plea deal approved by Will County Judge Bennett Braun, a story published by the Chicago Tribune said. He must also undergo an alcohol abuse evaluation and meet with a panel of people who have had family and friends killed by drunken drivers, the story said. Fisk, 64 and a part-time New Lenox resident, was arrested Oct. 22 after police found him passed out inside his pickup truck, which he drove into a field near Gougar and Spencer roads.
