At a recent meeting, Minooka's village trustees approved a plan for reduced sewer and water connection fees for new residential and commercial buildings, according to a Sun-Times News Group report. "It's all part of the incentive package we've been working on the last several months," Village Administrator Dan Duffy stated in the report. The cost for connection to sewer and water service for new home construction is now set at $5,000, according to the report, down from the previous total of $7,850. At a recent meeting, Minooka's village board unanimously voted to renew Dan Duffy's contract at a cost of more than $100,000 a year, according to a Sun-Times News Group Report.
Dan Duffy will remain in his current position for another four years. The Village of Minooka will add an assistant public works director. And the village board at a recent meeting set aside money to replace two squad cars, a one-ton truck and an equipment trailer, according to a Sun-Times News Group report. Duffy, the village administrator, was retained at a salary of $103,968 by the board in a unanamious vote to renew his contract, according to the report. "I am more than happy with the renewal of my contract; the board and mayor have been very generous," Duffy stated in the report. "I look forward to working with them four more years to keep growth and success moving forward."
